We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP PP Consultant to join our team for a long-term contract at BorgWarner in Chennai.
Project Overview:
This role will involve working closely with the BorgWarner Internal IT Team to enhance production planning and Quality Management processes, contributing to the development of a robust enterprise template. The consultant will provide regular support, participate in rollout projects, and implement the BorgWarner Enterprise template across various locations.
Position Summary:
The SAP PP Consultant will be responsible for independently gathering requirements, performing functional testing, and executing system configuration/customization. They will create comprehensive documentation, collaborate with global stakeholders, and continuously improve production planning and Quality Management processes to align with BorgWarner's business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently gather and analyze business requirements related to SAP PP and QM.
Configure and customize SAP PP and QM modules to meet business requirements.
Perform functional testing to ensure system functionality and data integrity.
Create comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, user guides, and configuration documents.
Collaborate effectively with global stakeholders and internal SAP teams to ensure cohesive and high-performing team dynamics.
Continuously improve production planning and Quality Management processes to align with business goals and best practices.
Provide regular support for SAP PP and QM modules.
Participate in rollout projects and implement the BorgWarner Enterprise template across various locations.
Key Qualifications :
- Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM).
- At least two full-cycle SAP implementations completed, demonstrating expertise in project lifecycles.
- Strong understanding of Demand Management, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Make-to-Order (MTO), and Make-to-Stock (MTS) processes.
- Expertise in handling Planned Orders, Production Orders, and Master Data (including Bill of Materials, Work Centers, Routing, and Production versions, etc.).
- Proven experience with Discrete Manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of integration between SAP modules ( MM, SD, WM, and FI/CO) is preferred.
- Experience with Warehouse Management (WM) and Handling Unit Management (HUM) is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to design, configure, and test SAP PP functionality.
- Solid understanding of business processes related to Production Planning and Quality Management.
- Ability to document and deliver business process flows and functional specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
