Position - Head Institutional sales || Consumer Durable

Must have handled PAN India and should have strong expertise in Institutional sales
Will be responsible for leading and managing the overall institutional sales strategy and execution across India for Matress. This individual will be tasked with developing relationships, driving sales, and ensuring market penetration within key institutional sectors, including hospitality (hotels, resorts, etc.), healthcare (hospitals, clinics), corporate clients, educational institutions, CSD and other bulk-buying segments. The role requires both strategic and hands-on execution in terms of building business, managing a sales team, and achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy focused on institutional clients across India.
- Identify and target key institutional clients
- Work with leadership to set annual sales targets and work towards achieving or exceeding them.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust the strategy as needed.
2. Business Development:
- Build long-term relationships with institutional clients, distributors, and key decision-makers.
- Lead and manage new business acquisition, including identifying new sales opportunities in various sectors.
- Negotiate contracts and manage bulk order sales to institutions.
- Oversee the proposal process, ensuring compliance with client requirements and the company's standards.
3. Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of sales professionals to drive sales objectives across India.
- Develop and mentor the sales team to improve performance, sales techniques, and product knowledge.
- Establish clear performance metrics and review mechanisms to ensure targets are met.
4. Client Relationship Management:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, resolving issues and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Organize and execute periodic meetings, check-ins, and performance reviews with major clients.
- Establish partnerships for long-term relationships and repeat business with institutions.
5. Sales Operations:
- Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and provide regular reports to management on progress and forecasts.
- Collaborate with the marketing team for promotional strategies and brand positioning in the institutional sector.
- Manage the sales pipeline, tracking the progress of opportunities and ensuring timely follow-up.
6. Budget and Forecasting:
Prepare budgets and forecasts for institutional sales, aligning with overall company goals.
Manage pricing and discounting strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the institutional space.
7. Brand Representation:
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and exhibitions related to the institutional sales domain.
- Ensure product and brand visibility in key institutional markets across India.
