VP - Head Formulation Development

Reporting : Head of R&D

Mandatory: Should have development experience in USA, Europe, Canada, Brazil, South Africa, having exp in USA market is mandatory. should have experience in formulation of Oral solids, Liquid orals, injectables, topicals, nasal sprays& transdermal. However, the exp in OSDs is a must.

Team Size: 115-120 ppl which would comprise have ppl from F&D plus ppl from Routine stability team

Job Description:

- To lead and manage the entire gamut of Research & Development activities including both Formulation development and Analytical development departments

- Responsible to propose new projects, design, execute development activities, timely completion of robust formulations and processes development followed by technology transfers.

- The incumbent should have development experience in USA, Europe, Canada, Brazil, South Africa. having exp in USA market is mandatory.

- Responsible to design novel strategies, develop new platform technologies for solid oral and liquid oral products.

- Responsible for development of variety of formulation products (Generics, Modified and NDDS) with QbD concepts, regulated markets and anticipated markets as per company requirements.

- Expertise in risk analysis and designing mitigation plans proactively leading to success in resolution.

Other requirements:

1. Ideally, should have experience in formulation of Oral solids, Liquid orals, injectables, topicals, nasal sprays& transdermal. However, the exp in OSDs is a must.

2. Experience: 22-25 years, Age wise between 45 years to 50 year

3. Reporting to Head R&D

4. Team Size- 115-120 ppl which would comprise have ppl from F&D plus ppl from Routine stability team . However, the person should have manged at least team size of 75 ppl in current/previous role with 6 to 7 as direct reports.

5. Should have strong leadership qualities along with Strategic orientation, as this role may eventually shape up as the overall Head of R&D.

Responsibilities:

1. More than 20+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry and at least 15 years experience in leadership roles managing both Formulation and Analytical departments in any of the top Pharma companies.

2. Ph.D. (Pharmaceutics / Pharmaceutical Technology)

3. Highly skilled in evaluation and interpretation of data and drawing conclusions.

4. Able to design innovative strategies & achieve goals in defined timelines

5. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.

6. Decision making and analytical thinking skills.

7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

8. Excellent reporting skills.

9. Good Mentor and Motivator.

10. Strong project management and technical structure skills.
