Job Description
- Minimum 10 years of academic experience as a Professor in a University system or an equivalent position, and with at least five years in a senior leadership role in higher education or a related field, preferably in a senior administrative role.
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
- Proven record of strategic vision, collaborative leadership, and ethical governance.
- Minimum age: 54 years.
- Define, align and implement a vision for academic excellence and innovation.
- Cultivate partnerships and enhance the University s national and international reputation.
- Ensure operational efficiency and financial sustainability.
- This position demands a unique blend of administrative acumen and academic prowess to drive the University towards greater heights of accomplishment.
- The role comes with a set of mutually agreed-upon deliverables that will serve as the benchmark for further evaluation of an appointee s performance.
- Within six months from the date of an appointment, the appointee s contributions will be reviewed against the established deliverability criteria (mutually agreed upon at the time of appointment). If the appointee meets the University s expectations, the process for their continuation in the role as Vice Chancellor will be initiated. .
