About the team:
Payment Strategy and Operations remit includes Supplier Payments, Partner Payments (Co-brand, Client Incentives, TLS, etc. ), First-Line Payment Risk Governance, Spend Analytics, Customer Helpdesk, Disbursements and Travel & Expense Program Management.
This function within GSM, is responsible for Procurement analytics, Data governance, Data insights and Market intelligence, Reporting & automation, Monthly scorecard, Dashboarding and Storyboarding.
Role Description:
Generate business insights using data analytics and information visualization methods to answer business problems.
Bring passion and expertise to create a data strategy with scale and consistency across insights, reporting and analytics and identify new opportunities for leveraging Procurement data as an asset
Develop measures of quality for data and processes and ensure data completeness and accuracy through the data life cycle.
Manage, capture, and understand business requirements from stakeholders, design and develop meaningful and relevant KPIs/Insights for business
Communicate and present results to AXP customers and senior leadership.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 4+ years of experience in the Data Analytics
Must be able to thrive in a fast paced, customer-focused, collaborative environment. Must be able to work hands-on with minimal supervision or assistance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Strong knowledge of Python, SQL/ HQL, Data analytics and BI tools
Knowledge of technical tools and application based in reporting capabilities will be an added advantage. Tools include Hive, SQL, Advanced Excel, VBA, Alteryx, MEMSQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc
Effective in operating autonomously and making decisions in situations of ambiguity and time pressure
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
