Business Analyst (5-8 yrs)

We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst - Data Analytics to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical solutions, manage data-driven projects, and generate insights to fuel strategic initiatives.

Primary Skills : Business Analysis,Data Analysis

Secondary Skills : SQL / PL SQL

Role Description :

Analyst role requires strong understanding of various business functions. The roles require translating business requirement to functional requirements, figure what are the key performance measures that affect business and assist business leaders and users to interpret information and make the informed decisions.

Role Responsibility :

- Gather business requirements, document them and work with client team to get the sign-off on the requirement

- Translate business requirement to functional specifications, including what is measured and what is performance of that measures Connect to data from various data sources and able translate requirement to calculations that form the measures

- Manage business data catalog, identify and define dimensions, attributes, metrics, transformation, quality

Co-ordinate with the delivery manager toimplement the project Plan and ensure that functional requirements are fully implemented

- Work closely and provide input to the delivery team

- Communicate with all the project stakeholders on the project status

- Ensuring accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, documenting, testing, and problem solving

- Schedule and run meetings with business team and co-ordinate and conduct UAT

Role Requirement :

- Strong Knowledge in Data Warehouse concepts(Dimensions, attributes, qualities (cross dimensional attributes), transformation, measures, key performance indicators)

- Proficient in basic SQL concepts (Able to select data from one or more datasets)

- Sound aptitude, outstanding logical reasoning, and analytical skills

- Strong and effective communication and presentation skills

- Good Knowledge and Understanding of dashboarding and storyboarding

- Should be able to interpret information to identify issues / challenges

- Should be able to quickly come up with root cause and a solution if possible

- Experience in requirements gathering, Data Profiling,

- Data Interpretation and documentation processes

- Knowledgeable in databases and in any BI tools will be an added advantage

- Willingness to learn and take initiatives

- Ability to work with a diverse team and adapt to fast-paced Agile environment

Additional Requirement :

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and define data analytics requirements.

- Perform detailed analysis of datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.

- Work with technical teams to design and implement data models, dashboards, and analytics solutions.

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for analytics projects, including business requirements, data dictionaries, wireframes, and workflows.

- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop automated reports to track and improve business performance.

- Conduct gap analysis and recommend data-driven strategies to optimize business operations.

- Liaise with stakeholders to validate insights, present findings, and recommend solutions.

- Design interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports using tools like PowerPoint, Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch, ensuring alignment with business requirements.

- Support the development of predictive and prescriptive analytics to anticipate future trends and challenges.

Skills & Qualifications :

- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

- Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Data Analytics or related roles.

- Proven experience in Client handling with related to Requirement gathering, documentation and solutioning.

- In-depth knowledge of data analysis and statistical methods.

- Strong expertise in designing interactive dashboards.

- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes. Proficient in querying databases using SQL

- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
