Position : Business Analyst - Insurance (Claims Management)
Location : Hyderabad (Onsite)

Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst with expertise in Insurance and Claims Management to join our team at a leading General Insurance company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the insurance industry, particularly around claims processes, and will be responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders to define business requirements, analyze processes, and deliver solutions that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities :
Requirement Gathering :
- Work closely with business stakeholders, underwriters, and claims teams to elicit and document business requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of client needs.
Claims Process Analysis :
- Analyze the end-to-end claims processes, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and propose actionable solutions for improvements.
Business Process Improvement :
- Map and optimize insurance workflows, ensuring they align with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
Data Analysis :
- Leverage data insights to support decision-making, track KPIs, and measure the impact of process changes on business operations.
Documentation :
- Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), use cases, process flow diagrams, and user stories to effectively communicate requirements to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Act as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure the smooth implementation of solutions.
Solution Testing :
- Assist in creating test cases, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensuring that the deliverables meet business needs.
Regulatory Compliance :
- Stay updated on relevant insurance regulations, particularly in the general insurance domain, ensuring all solutions comply with current legal requirements.
Training and Support :
- Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate the successful adoption of new systems, processes, or solutions.
Preferred Skills and Experience :
Insurance Claims Systems :
- Hands-on experience in insurance claims systems or operations, with a deep understanding of claims lifecycle.
Industry Standards :
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO Claims Handling or ACORD.
Certifications :
- Certifications like CBAP, CII (Chartered Insurance Institute), or similar are highly desirable.
Business Process Modelling (BPM) :
- Efficient in various business analysis techniques, including BPM, MOSCOW Technique, Requirement Ranking Method, Kano Analysis, SWOT Analysis, and RCA.
Agile Methodologies :
- Proficient in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies, including creating and maintaining User Stories, Sprint Sheets, and managing tasks within Azure DevOps.
Tools Expertise :
- Familiarity with industry tools like Azure DevOps, Microsoft Visio, Balsamiq, Figma (for wireframing and flowcharts), and Microsoft Excel (for data analysis).
Stakeholder Management :
- Ability to work efficiently with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless communication between business, IT, and vendor teams.
Educational Qualification :
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Any additional qualifications in Insurance or Business Analysis are a plus.
