About the Position
The Associate Manager Accounts and Compliance is responsible for managing the organization s financial records and ensuring adherence to all regulatory and statutory requirements. This role ensures financial integrity, efficient operations, and compliance with applicable laws, providing critical support for audits, reporting, and organizational decision-making.
Responsibilities
Accounts Management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Manage cash flow, prepare forecasts, and ensure financial stability.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards.
Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with other departments.
  • Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions for discrepancies.
Compliance and Taxation
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory returns, including GST, TDS, income tax, and other applicable taxes.
  • Monitor compliance with corporate laws, labor laws, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and enforce financial policies to ensure alignment with statutory and organizational standards.
Audit Support
  • Coordinate with auditors during internal, statutory, and tax audits.
  • Prepare and provide necessary documentation and address audit queries.
  • Implement recommendations from audit findings to improve processes and controls.
Risk Management and Internal Controls
  • Identify potential risks related to financial operations and compliance, recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Strengthen internal controls to prevent errors, fraud, and non-compliance.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
Technology and Process Improvement
  • Utilize accounting software and ERP systems for efficient financial management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
Mandatory Qualification and Experience:
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master s degree or certifications such as CA/CPA preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • Proven track record of handling GST, TDS, income tax, and statutory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and taxation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
