Program / Academic Development & Coordination-Ulwe

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Shall be responsible to formulate, plan and monitor, all activities related to the Programme development & operations at Jio Institute.
• Conduct background research and benchmarking studies to evaluate trends in the discipline in higher education and industry
• Assist with coordinating the academic affairs of the programme to establish an outstanding educational program and foster a strong research excellence.
• Support in development of the academic programme including programme planning, curriculum designing & outcomes from the programme and the courses, student experience and learning management, and other related tasks.
• Research on leading faculty and researchers in the area in the discipline and organize a regular data bank on researchers and their research that may be relevant to the programme.
• Assist with defining research priority areas.
• Support in organising and executing various academic programs and research.
• Support in the smooth functioning of the faculty and inter-disciplinary researchers.
• Coordinate and aid in forging collaborations with national and global top ranked universities and research organisations.
• Provide support to prepare the program for national and international accreditation and ranking.
• Maintaining records to manage the financial operations of the department in coordination with the finance team.
• Provides educational resources to internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to serving on campus committees, guest lectures and delivering activities.
• Help in the development and implementation of instructional materials and curriculum programs that will meet educational standards.
• Manage conferences and workshops, monitor facultys classrooms and review new curriculums and classroom materials with faculty individually or in group settings.
• Assess student performance to determine in what ways instructional approaches need to be changed or modified. Collecting student feedback about pedagogy and faculty.
• Familiarity and ease in dealing with students across age groups.
• Need to connect with Career Services, Innovation Centre, Research Centre, etc for relevant academic programme development.
• Individual curriculum planning for students across the program, including preparation, counselling, and remedies, etc, as needed.
• Ensuring that classrooms are ready with instructional supplies and also supporting the faculty with specific needs for the assignment. Also responsible for making necessary alternative arrangement in-case of absence of a faculty.
• Ease and comfort working in a dynamic start-up setup under tough deadlines and expectations of the Institute.
• Any other responsibilities assigned by the leadership team in respect of academic, examination, student activities, student affairs, students club, etc

Minimum Qualifications:

• Post Graduate in relevant discipline

Minimum Experience:

• About 5 years of experience in academic programme development or learning experience management in an higher education academic set-up
