Job Title: Vice President of Finance

Location: Pune

Position Summary: The Vice President of Finance will play a critical role in driving AskMia's financial performance and long-term success. This role will oversee financial planning, analysis, compliance, and cash flow management, with a focus on aligning financial strategies with business goals and ensuring compliance with U.S. financial regulations. The VP of Finance will provide insights and direction to the executive team to guide decision-making and optimize resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:



Strategic Financial Leadership

- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives and operational excellence.

- Advise the executive team on key financial decisions, providing data-driven insights to enhance overall financial performance.

- Align financial objectives with AskMia's strategic goals, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize profitability.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

- Lead the company's budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.

- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and make actionable recommendations.

- Collaborate with department heads to ensure financial planning supports key initiatives and projects.

Regulatory Compliance & Taxation

- Ensure full compliance with U.S. financial regulations, including tax laws, labor laws, and financial reporting requirements.

- Oversee U.S. payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in accordance with federal and state regulations.

- Stay current on changes in financial regulations and best practices to ensure AskMia remains compliant.

Audit Management

- Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure timely completion of all financial audits.

- Lead the implementation of audit recommendations and continuously improve internal controls.

- Ensure transparency and accuracy in all financial reporting to meet internal and external audit standards.

Cash Flow & Banking Management

- Monitor and manage the company's cash flow and liquidity to support business operations and growth initiatives.

- Develop strategies to optimize working capital and manage banking relationships.

- Ensure the availability of sufficient funds for short-term operational needs and long-term capital investments.

Team Leadership & Development

- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Mentor and develop finance team members, ensuring the team possesses the necessary skills and expertise to support AskMia's financial goals.

Stakeholder Communication

- Prepare and present detailed financial reports to the executive team and board of directors.

- Communicate the company's financial performance and strategic direction to stakeholders, including investors and key partners.

- Provide timely financial updates and insights to facilitate informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

- 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.

- Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll, labor laws, taxation, and financial compliance.

- Proven experience in FP&A, audit management, and working with external auditors.

- Familiarity with U.S. banking practices and cash management strategies.

- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
