VoIP Support Engineer

About Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network/Telecom Product Deployment/Installation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying and installing network and telecom products, ensuring proper functionality, and providing technical support during the installation process. You will also collaborate closely with various teams to understand client needs and expectations, manage the on-boarding process, and ensure a seamless customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of network infrastructure, telecom systems, and have hands-on experience with installation and troubleshooting.

Role & responsibilities :

Deployment and Installation:

Lead the installation and deployment of network and telecom products, including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and telecom equipment.

Ensure products are installed according to specifications, meeting all performance and security requirements.

Coordinate with clients to schedule and execute product installations while minimizing disruptions to operations.

Documentation and Reporting:

Create detailed reports and documentation of installations, configurations, and test results.

Maintain accurate records of work completed and issues resolved.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely and effective product deployments.

Communicate with clients throughout the deployment process to provide updates and address concerns.

On-boarding and Provisioning:

Develop comprehensive on-boarding plans tailored to each clients unique requirements and business needs.

Oversee the provisioning and activation of replacement services, collaborating with technical teams to ensure successful implementation.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the on-boarding phase, ensuring exceptional customer support and promptly addressing any issues or concerns

Working Conditions:

Fast-paced work environment with occasional overtime to meet deployment deadlines.

Ability to work in diverse environments including indoor, outdoor, and in various weather conditions.

Skills:

SIP, VoIP, Linux, PSTN, RTP, UDP.

Proficient in system configurations, testing, and troubleshooting.

Expertise in LAN, VLAN, Routing and Switching, and Telecom Protocols.

Strong knowledge of CCNA concepts, including IP addressing, routing, subnetting, and network security.

Familiarity with Telecom protocols such as SIP, VoIP, MPLS, and others.
