Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • To achieve targets monthly, quarterly & yearly& team month wise, product wise, area wise target.
  • To ensure that sales team is performing achieving their targets monthly, quarterly & yearly
  • Touring in the states in your region & working closely with the team
  • Meeting all the corporate heads in your region to build relationships
  • To set up dealers in the region & work closely with them to help achieve the dealers target
  • Training the sales team For your region
  • Preparing Sales Projections for the year & Month
  • Planning & helping in hiring the sales team
  • To meet and establish contacts with the hospitals and contact details to be provided.
  • To ensure that all payments are collected in time.
  • Team Handling, training & development of Sales Team.
  • Assigning works to Sales Team.
  • Motivate and energize the staff to make proactive decisions in all their communications with clients
  • Create and advertise weekly, monthly and quarterly sales goals and keep c-level executives apprised of the progress
  • Prepare sales reports and sign off on their accuracy before submitting them
  • Assess the competitive landscape and institute changes to the sales program in response to competitor's changes
  • Establish a referral network with local businesses and find ways to maximize value from those connections
  • Implement a sales training and orientation program to educate new hires as our company grows
  • Drive sales objectives and achieving commercial budget and targets
  • Identifying and acquiring new customers, as well as up selling to the existing customer base
  • Building strong relationships with Key accounts
  • Ensuring accurate sales forecasting and account planning
  • Strategic Planning: Developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives. This involves setting sales targets, forecasting, and planning for growth.
  • Team Leadership: Managing and leading the sales team, which includes hiring, training, coaching, and performance management. Providing guidance and support to help team members achieve their targets.
  • Sales Performance Management: Monitoring the sales team's performance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing sales data, and taking corrective actions as necessary to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Creating and managing the sales budget, forecasting sales revenues, and ensuring the team operates within allocated resources.
  • Market Analysis: Staying updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges. Using this information to adjust the sales strategy as needed.
  • Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and working to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Continuously evaluating and refining the sales processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and customer experience. Implementing best practices and technologies to streamline workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure alignment and communication for a seamless customer journey.
  • Sales Training and Development: Providing ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generating regular reports on sales performance, revenue trends, and market insights. Presenting these reports to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Formulating sales strategies for different market segments, regions, and products/services. Identifying potential growth areas and exploring new sales opportunities.
  • Performance Metrics: Defining and tracking metrics such as conversion rates, sales cycle length, customer acquisition cost, and customer lifetime value to evaluate the effectiveness of sales efforts.
  • Problem Solving: Addressing challenges that arise in the sales process, such as objections from clients, internal conflicts, or market shifts, and finding appropriate solutions.
  • Motivation and Incentives: Creating incentive programs and recognition mechanisms to motivate the sales team and reward outstanding performance.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensuring that the sales team adheres to company policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements in all sales activities.
  • Networking: Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build the company's brand and forge new business relationships
  • Customer Segmentation Strategy: Led a project to develop and implement a customer segmentation strategy, enabling the sales team to target specific customer groups with tailored marketing and sales approaches. This initiative increased conversion rates and customer retention.
  • Market Expansion Initiative: Played a pivotal role in devising and executing a market expansion strategy, resulting in the successful entry into new geographic regions or market segments. This project contributed to substantial revenue growth.
  • Sales Forecasting Model Implementation: Spearheaded the implementation of advanced sales forecasting models, leveraging data analytics and machine learning techniques. This project improved the accuracy of sales forecasts, leading to better resource allocation and inventory management.
  • Sales Process Automation: Oversaw the automation of key sales processes, such as lead nurturing, follow-up, and order processing. This automation increased operational efficiency and reduced manual workload, allowing the sales team to focus on strategic tasks.

Preferred candidate profile


  • Should be able to achieve targets
  • Should be presentable.
  • Good communication skills in English & Hindi
  • Willing to travel 20 days a month to the territory allocated (any state in India) or to any

another area as and when required.

  • Territory knowledge.
  • Should have at-least appointed distributors or dealers in the previous company.
  • Possess team leader skills, Soft Skills and basic computer knowledge.
