Business Research Analyst – ASH

Refex Group is hiring for Business Research Analyst for ASH Business based in Chennai(T.Nagar).

Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Business Analyst to join our coal and ash business research team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analyzing business operations, identifying new opportunities for sustained growth, and implementing strategies that enhance productivity and profitability. The Business Analyst will work closely with the ASH department stakeholders to gather requirements, research new avenues and ensure availing of successful business opportunities for ash management.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering: Identify the list of thermal power plants in India and identity the local competitors rates. Collect, organize, and analyze data related to ash utilization, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Generate meaningful insights to support operational decision-making.
Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to assess the economic feasibility of Thermal ash projects. Conduct cost-benefit analyses and contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
Research Analysis: Analyze and research about various types of Ash and its usage in all significant areas. Collaborate with Business Development and Operational teams to identify local availability and utilization of ash, and explore new avenues of processing / exports of ash.
Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis techniques to interpret trends in ash generation, logistics, and environmental impact, and propose data-driven solutions. Monitor and analyze market trends, New opportunity, acquisition, competitor price and project analyst. Contribute to strategic decision-making based on market intelligence.
Solution Design: Develop and propose business solutions that align with organizational goals, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and regulatory compliance in coal and ash management.
Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication between business units, operational teams, environmental compliance units, and other stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in coal and ash management to continuously improve business processes.
Desired Profile:
Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a research or in a related role, preferably within the coal and ash industry.
Proven experience in business process analysis and project management within the context of mining and waste management.
Should have good understating of ash and its usage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.
