Get to Know the Role :

We are seeking backend engineers with strong coding expertise, a deep understanding of distributed and event-driven systems, and hands-on experience with streaming platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on scalability, reliability, observability, and maintainability, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services.

- Build and optimize APIs, ensuring adherence to best practices in RESTful architecture.

- Work with event-driven systems, including message queues and streaming platforms like Kafka or Kinesis.

- Write high-quality, well-documented, and maintainable code following best practices.

- Implement and document APIs & system design using a document-as-code approach.

- Translate business/technical requirements into robust system architectures, including ERDs and API contracts.

- Implement observability, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure code stability and performance.

- Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure functionality and reliability of services

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, DevOps, product, and operations) to ensure seamless delivery.

Desired Skill Set :

- 1-4 years of experience in backend development.

- Proficiency in one or more backend languages : Node.js, Java, or Go.

- Strong understanding of REST APIs, WebSockets, and asynchronous processing.

- Experience in distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and message queues (Kafka, SQS, etc.).

- Hands-on experience with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.).

- Good understanding of caching, indexing, and query optimization for high-performance applications.

- Strong focus on scalability, reliability, and observability, including logging, monitoring, and tracing.

- Familiarity with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP).

- Experience in writing unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure system stability.

- Working knowledge of the serverless ecosystem (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, etc.) is a plus.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices is a plus
