About the role
A Receptionist at Museum of Solutions serves as the initial point of contact for visitors, families, and
school groups. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, enthusiasm, and a genuine
passion for creating an engaging and educational experience for children and their caregivers. They
are responsible for handling check-ins, check-outs, bookings various guest inquiries contributing to a
seamless and enjoyable museum journey.
Key responsibilities
Guest experience and visitor engagement service enhancement: - Welcome visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor, creating a positive first impression.
- Assist families, children, and groups with admissions, memberships, and program
- registrations.
- Provide information about museum exhibits, activities, and upcoming events
- Assist in coordinating and welcoming school groups, field trips, and other organized visits
- Ensure smooth check-in and assist facilitators or group leaders in orientation as needed
- Front desk & Ticketing
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, creating a welcoming environment for guests.
- Process admissions and ticket sales, ensuring accuracy in pricing and guest information
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, including cash, credit cards, and other
- Promote & upsell membership programs, workshop and various offerings at MuSo.
- Processing day & shift end closing with finance department for booking accurate ticketing sale
- Handling visitor queries, external visitor movements & on call assistance for all inquiries
Required Qualifications & Traits:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent (additional education in hospitality or related field is a plus).
- Previous experience in related field such as Front office, Reception etc.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service orientation and a friendly demeanor.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, booking software, and office applications.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Child safety awareness and the ability to respond calmly to challenging situations
