Role & responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Type manuscripts in English and Hindi.
• Typeset books according to the approved style sheet.
• Implement corrections marked in the proofs.
• Make photo cutouts as required.
• Combine all chapters and preliminary pages into a single document.
• Share the PDF of a book with the Digital department.
• Insert digital icons where required in the chapters.
• Prepare Critical Review Copies (CRCs).
• Share the CRC with the proofreader for verification against the InDesign print.
• Forward the CRC to the Production team.

ACCOUNTABILITY

• Follow the approved style sheet meticulously.
• Ensure error-free typesetting by making all necessary corrections as marked in the proofs.
• Ensure proper merging of all book sections.
• Meet deadlines for all deliverables.
