The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager will be responsible for managing the company's incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining customer account records, and optimizing the AR process for efficiency and compliance. The role requires strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to credit risk management.
Accounts Receivable Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of payments and adjustments.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue invoices to minimize bad debts.
Credit & Risk Management:
- Assess customer creditworthiness and set appropriate credit limits.
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to mitigate financial risk.
- Coordinate with the sales and finance teams to manage customer disputes and resolutions.
Billing & Invoicing:
- Ensure timely generation and dispatch of invoices to customers.
- Maintain billing accuracy and compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
- Address and resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
Collections & Dispute Resolution:
- Proactively engage with customers to ensure timely payments.
- Manage and resolve billing disputes in collaboration with internal teams.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships to optimize payment cycles.
Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare AR aging reports, collection forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements in AR processes to enhance efficiency.
- Leverage automation and digital tools for effective receivables management.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Supervise and mentor AR staff, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Treasury, and Legal, to streamline AR operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA/CA/CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in a multinational or high-volume environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, credit management, and financial regulations.
(SAP or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
