Team Lead - Account Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the accounts team to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Allocate responsibilities, monitor progress, and provide guidance to achieve departmental objectives.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and foster a culture of professional development and growth.
Accounting Operations:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and reporting.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance and trends.
- Collaborate with senior management to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and implement recommendations as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for audit readiness.
Process Optimization:
- Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and implement improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Leverage technology and tools to automate and streamline accounting functions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as the primary liaison between the accounts team and other departments to ensure seamless communication and alignment.
- Support business decisions by providing financial data and insights to other teams.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent (preferred).
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and auditing.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in accounting software (e., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle Financials).
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards such as GAAP or IFRS.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.

- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
