Job Description
Job Title: Technical Lead/Architect
Required Expertise
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN.
- Hands-on experience working on embedded platforms (OPENWRT, Linux)
- Strong understanding of networking concepts: DHCP, DNS, NAT, VPN, IP Routing, IPSec, SSL, QoS,
- Strong understanding of wired/wireless technologies 5G, Wi-Fi, GPON, XGS-PON
- Familiarity with cloud-based VPN solutions (Azure, AWS VPN Gateway, etc. ).
- Integration of VPN gateways with existing network infrastructure (firewalls, routers, etc. ).
- Familiarity with load balancers, and traffic shaping.
- Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (RADIUS, LDAP, certificates) for VPN access.
- Hands-on experience with VPN gateway technologies such as Cisco ASA, Fortinet, or similar.
- Security measures and usage of encryption protocols for secured data transmission via VPNs.
- VPN gateway performance monitoring/mechanism and resolving connectivity issues related to LAN/WAN
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting for user access, latency issues, and configuration errors.
- Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, routers, and other network devices.
- Detailed documentation of configurations, policies, and changes made to VPN systems.
- Periodic reports generation on system performance, usage, and incident resolution.
- Interaction with L3/l2 teams on understanding the new features developments/enhancements.
- Collaborating with 3 rd party vendors (like DIGI, Accelerated) for support and resolution of hardware or software issues.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interaction with DevOps teams to integrate VPN gateway bug fixes/patches with CI/CD pipelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics & Communication
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in relevant technologies (e. g. , CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE).
- Knowledge of scripting for automation (e. g. , Python).
- Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies and hybrid cloud networking
