Japanese Interpreter Cum Translator

• Responsible for interpretations as and when required.
• Responsible for translation of all the Non-Technical / Technical / Engineering & Business documents from Japanese Language to English & vice versa.
• Interpretation of Technical Data related to Production & Purchase.
• Japanese Language coordinator in various meetings / discussions & video / audio conference.
• Assisting for interpretation in Technical Meetings & Discussions, intra-department, or inter-departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meeting Interpretation
• Provide real-time interpretation during weekly finance meetings.
• Support in monthly plant-wise finance meetings (across 3 plants) by interpreting discussions and ensuring effective communication between Japanese and local teams.
• Budget Preparation Support
• Assist in yearly budget planning and review activities by interpreting discussions and translating key documents.
• Facilitate smooth communication during budget-related workshops, presentations, and approvals.
• Document Translation
• Translate financial documents such as budgets, reports, invoices, and compliance-related materials from Japanese to local language (and vice versa).
• Ensure accuracy and clarity in translated content, maintaining confidentiality as required.
• Cross-Functional Support
• Act as a bridge between Japanese stakeholders and local finance teams for any day-to-day operational discussions.
• Assist other departments (if needed) for finance-related translations or interpretations involving Japanese.
• Cultural Facilitation
• Support Japanese team members in understanding local cultural practices related to financial operations and vice versa, promoting smooth collaboration.

Key Skills and Relevant Experience

• Excellent Japanese Language skills with the JPLT certification as mentioned in required qualification.
• 2 - 6 years of experience in the field of Japanese interpretation and translation.
• Experience in Automobile or manufacturing industry only.
• Good knowledge and understanding of technical words (Japanese & English both)
• Good command over both Japanese and English languages.
• Should have good Written skills in Japanese Language.
• Good Concentration and keen focus on language accuracy.
• Good Communication Skill
• Good command over MS Office
• Ability to work in a team.
