Plant Head Wire & Cable

Plant Head for the LV, HT Wire Cable Plant will be responsible for the overall management, operation, and strategic direction of the cable manufacturing plant, including E-beam exposure processes. The role demands leadership, technical expertise in cable production, and familiarity with radiation cross-linking processes. The individual will oversee day-to-day plant operations, ensuring the production of high-quality LV (Low Voltage) and HT (High Tension) cables, adherence to safety standards, and timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities :

• Plant Operations : Oversee and manage the entire plant production process from raw material procurement to finished product dispatch. Ensure the smooth functioning of all units, including extrusion, curing (E-beam), testing, and packaging.
• E-beam Technology : Manage and supervise the E-beam exposure process for cross-linking cables, ensuring proper calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of E-beam accelerators and associated systems.
• Staff Management : Lead, manage, and motivate plant staff, including engineers, technicians, and support personnel. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
• Quality Control : Ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards, and drive continuous improvements in the production process. Implement robust testing procedures for finished cables.
• Maintenance : Oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance of all machinery and equipment, including E-beam radiation systems.
• Cost Control : Optimize production costs while maintaining high standards of quality. Ensure the plant operates within budget, focusing on energy consumption, waste reduction, and raw material usage.
• Inventory Management : Monitor raw material, finished goods, and spare parts inventory levels. Ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.
• Health and Safety Compliance : Enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment, particularly concerning the radiation hazards associated with E-beam technology.
• Compliance and Reporting : Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and generate reports for upper management regarding plant performance, KPIs, production targets, and financials.
