Key Responsibilities :

- Linux Command Proficiency : Apply strong knowledge of Linux commands for server management, automation, and troubleshooting tasks.

- VMware Expertise : Manage and optimize virtualized environments using VMware for resource provisioning, system management, and infrastructure optimization.

- Containerization (Docker) : Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker, ensuring scalability, isolation, and efficiency across environments.

- Kubernetes : Orchestrate and manage containerized applications at scale with Kubernetes, including creating and managing clusters, deployments, and services for high availability and scalability.

- Ansible Playbooks : Develop, manage, and optimize Ansible playbooks for configuration management, automated deployments, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).

- Jenkins Pipeline : Design, implement, and maintain Jenkins pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring smooth, reliable CI/CD workflows.

- Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure) : Utilize experience with AWS and/or Azure to manage cloud-based infrastructure, automate provisioning, and scale resources in a cost-effective and reliable manner.

- DevOps Tools : Hands-on experience with Artifactory, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Blue Ocean, and similar tools for version control, artifact management, and streamlined DevOps processes.

- Collaboration : Collaborate with software developers, system admins, and other stakeholders to design and implement infrastructure solutions and optimize CI/CD pipelines.

- Automation & Scripting : Write shell scripts, Python, or other automation scripts to automate system and software management tasks.

- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution : Identify and resolve issues in build pipelines, deployment environments, cloud infrastructure, and containerized environments to ensure high availability and performance.

- Documentation : Document infrastructure designs, configurations, processes, and tools used for automation and troubleshooting to ensure clarity and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications :

Experience :

- Proven experience in a DevOps role or related position with a focus on automation, CI/CD practices, and containerization.

- Hands-on experience with Linux systems, automation, and configuration management tools like Ansible.

- Strong expertise in VMware, including managing virtual machines, resource allocation, and optimization in a VMware environment.

- Practical experience with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration and management of containerized applications.

- Solid understanding of Jenkins and Jenkins pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.

- Practical experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, including provisioning, managing, and scaling cloud resources.

Skills :

- Strong proficiency with Linux commands, system administration, and shell scripting.

Extensive hands-on experience with DevOps tools :

- Jenkins (including Blue Ocean plugin),

- Bitbucket (for source control),

- Artifactory (for artifact management),

- Docker (for containerization),

- Kubernetes (for orchestration),

- VMware (for virtualization and infrastructure management).

- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.

- Proficiency in version control tools such as Git, with experience using Bitbucket or GitHub.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
