Key Responsibilities :
- Firewall & VPN Management : Gain and apply knowledge of firewall configurations, VPN management, proxies, and desktop defense concepts to protect the organization's network and systems.
- Splunk Query Optimization : Utilize Splunk for security monitoring, developing, optimizing, and maintaining queries to identify potential security threats and incidents.
- Incident Response : Monitor security alerts, troubleshoot potential security incidents, and respond accordingly to mitigate any threats.
- Security Monitoring & Alerts : Continuously monitor security systems and identify vulnerabilities and breaches across multiple networks.
- Customer Service Focus : Provide excellent service to both internal teams and external clients, ensuring security needs are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Documentation & Reporting : Develop clear, concise internal and external reports detailing security incidents, system vulnerabilities, and ongoing improvements.
- Collaboration with Teams : Work closely with other technical teams to implement security measures and continuously improve the security posture of the organization.
- Problem Solving : Leverage your strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of security threats and recommend remediation actions.
- Internal & Technical Development : Assist in the development of both technical security documentation and customer-oriented materials, ensuring clear communication of security initiatives and risks.
Skills & Qualifications :
- Firewall & VPN Expertise : Solid understanding of firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and desktop defense concepts, with practical experience implementing and managing them.
- Splunk Proficiency : Hands-on experience with Splunk, including developing, tuning, and optimizing queries for security monitoring and incident response.
- Cybersecurity Fundamentals : Knowledge of security principles, incident response protocols, and best practices for maintaining network security.
- Problem-Solving Skills : Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex security-related issues with attention to detail.
- Customer Service Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service in a technical environment.
- Team-Oriented Mindset : Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality work is delivered under tight deadlines.
- Security Certifications (Preferred) : Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are a plus
