Deputy Manager and Manager - Safety

Manager Safety (Will report to Plant Head/ VP- Plant operations)

(Roles & Responsibilities)

a) Supervision

i) Safety functions related SOP/ policy preparation and implementation.

ii) Overall responsibilities of Seetharampur plant Safety, work supervision.

iii) MIS on all safety activities.

b) Individual Responsibilities

i) To provide site safety leadership, ensure facility compliance with corporate safety standards, implement safety directives, improve safety performance, and ensure facility safety policies and procedures are aligned with governmental regulations.

ii) Position will provide full time environmental health and safety support to the operations and will ensure that all practices follow regulatory requirements.

iii) Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs at the employee / supervisor level to ensure a common and effective approach

iv) Responsible for assisting in the identification of the risk in various works

v) Coordinate and support for ISO certification (14001 and 45000) related work, its compliance and adherence for half yearly audits

vi) Ensure that contractor personnel working on the property follow OGL policies and safety requirements.

vii) Provide advice, assist, and audit line management to ensure that effective EHS is implemented and working.

viii) Assist with maintaining the Site Preparedness and Emergency Plans & Procedures

ix) Accountable for researching and writing permit applications and work with environmental group and be compliant in completing permit reporting requirements.

x) Maintain working relationships with Regulatory Agencies such as Pollution Control Board, Factory and Boilers Dept., Fire Department, Explosives Dept, Labour Dept etc. and chair or co- chair and lead the Safety committee and its meetings for the Operation.

xi) Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes.

xii) Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
