AWS Operations Manager - Cloud Infrastructure (7-10 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a seasoned AWS Operations Manager to lead our Network Operations Center (NOC) and Security Operations Center (SOC) teams. The role focuses on driving cloud operations strategies, enhancing service reliability, and optimizing AWS cloud resources to align with business objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor teams in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and Quality Assurance (QA).

- Develop and implement cloud operations strategies aligned with business goals.

- Manage incident response and resolution processes to ensure high service reliability.

- Oversee security and compliance for all cloud operations.

- Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization through strategic planning.

- Establish and monitor KPIs for cloud operations, providing regular updates to stakeholders.

- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance cloud operations.

- Collaborate with internal and external teams to improve system performance and reliability.

- Build strong vendor relationships and manage operational metrics reporting.

Skills and Qualifications :

Required :

- 7+ years of IT experience, with 3+ years in cloud operations (preferably AWS).

- 3+ years of experience in managing globally distributed cloud infrastructure.

- Hands-on expertise in AWS services like VPC, EC2, EBS, RDS, ALB, ASG, IAM, S3, and Linux.

- Proficiency in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.

- Experience in app/infra monitoring and log management tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, New Relic, Datadog, Splunk, and Grafana.

- Familiarity with automation tools for routine operational tasks.

- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

Preferred :

- AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer.

- Experience with regulated industries and high-availability systems.

- Multi-cloud and hybrid cloud experience.

- ITIL certification.

Key Technical Skills :

- AWS Services : VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, etc.

- DevOps Tools : Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines.

- Monitoring Tools : CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, Grafana.

- Programming : Proficiency in Linux and scripting for automation.

- Operations : Incident management, cost optimization, and performance tracking
