Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Java Architect with a strong background in designing and developing scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for Insurance Systems.
The ideal candidate will lead architectural decisions, guide technical teams, and collaborate with client & stakeholders to create cutting-edge systems aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Architecture & Design :
- Design scalable, robust, and high-performing solutions for insurance brokerage platforms.
- Establish architectural standards, best practices, and guidelines for development teams.
- Create and maintain architectural documentation, including high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD).
- Technology Leadership.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of appropriate technologies and frameworks (e.g , Spring Boot, Hibernate).
- Drive innovation by implementing modern architecture patterns such as microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native solutions.
- Define strategies for integration with third-party insurance platforms, payment gateways, and legacy systems.
- Development Oversight.
- Collaborate with Client, Development teams to ensure adherence to architectural principles.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and security of applications.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement.
- Partner with business analysts, product managers, and domain experts to gather and validate requirements.
- Communicate architectural vision to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentoring & Team Management.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and developers.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and technical workshops.
Skills & Qualifications.
Core Technical Skills :
- Expert-level proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with message brokers (e.g, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g , MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Cloud & DevOps :
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their services.
- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Security & Compliance :
- Knowledge of security best practices, including OWASP standards and encryption.
- Familiarity with insurance regulatory compliance standards like GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
Domain Expertise :
- Understanding of insurance workflows, policy management, and claims processing.
- Experience integrating with policy admin systems, CRM platforms, and third-party APIs.
Leadership & Communication :
- Strong leadership and mentorship abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders effectively.
Educational Background :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- 12-15 years experience in software development and architecture.
Preferred Certifications :
- Java SE/EE Certification (Oracle Certified Professional).
- Cloud Certifications (e.g , AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect).
- Project Management Certifications (e.g , PMP, SAFe).
