Quosphere - Snowflake Expert - Data Warehousing & Integration (2-5 yrs)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Snowflake Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the Snowflake Data Cloud platform, including data warehousing, integration, performance optimization, and security. They will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure Snowflake solutions to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and Implementation :

- Architect and implement data solutions using Snowflake to support business analytics and reporting.

- Create and optimize Snowflake schemas, tables, and views for efficient data storage and access.

- Design data pipelines for ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake and third-party tools.

Performance Optimization :

- Optimize Snowflake queries, storage, and computational resources for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

- Implement clustering, partitioning, and indexing strategies.

Data Integration :

- Integrate Snowflake with various data sources and third-party tools such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Informatica, and Matillion.

- Manage data loading and unloading processes.

Security and Compliance :

- Implement security best practices, including access control, role-based security, and data masking.

- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Monitoring and Maintenance :

- Monitor and manage Snowflake environments for availability, reliability, and performance.

- Troubleshoot issues related to data pipelines, storage, and compute resources.

Collaboration and Support :

- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.

- Provide support for ongoing analytics and reporting needs.

Experience :

- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.

- Strong experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT, and cloud-based data solutions.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake-specific functionalities (e.g., SnowSQL, Snowpipe).

- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Experience with data integration tools like Informatica, Talend, or Matillion.

Knowledge :

- Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and best practices.

- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python for automation and integration.

- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for data projects.

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

- Snowflake certification (e.g., SnowPro Core Certification).

- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

- Familiarity with data governance and cataloging tools.
