Full Stack Developer (MERN Stack) - WFH/Contract

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop: Build and maintain web applications using the MERN stack, ensuring they are responsive, scalable, and performant.
• Backend Development: Create RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js and Express, and integrate them with MongoDB databases.
• Frontend Development: Design interactive, user-friendly front-end interfaces using React.js, ensuring seamless integration with backend services.
• Database Management: Design, implement, and optimize MongoDB schemas, manage data structures, and ensure data consistency across the platform.
• Collaborate: Work closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and other developers to bring ideas to life and ensure a high-quality user experience.
• Testing and Debugging: Write unit and integration tests, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance.
• Code Reviews & Best Practices: Participate in code reviews, follow best practices for version control using Git, and contribute to improving development workflows and processes.
• Deployment & Maintenance: Deploy applications to cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or similar platforms. Monitor performance and maintain systems for scalability and security.
• Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with new technologies, frameworks, and best practices to ensure the teams development is cutting-edge and efficient.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, both on the client and server side.
• Extensive experience with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js).
• Experience with front-end frameworks like React.js and state management tools such as Redux or Context API.
• Proficiency in backend development using Node.js and Express, including the creation of RESTful APIs and integration with databases.
• Solid understanding of MongoDB and experience with database design, queries, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development tools like GitHub or GitLab.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and deployment using CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with TypeScript for more robust code and improved maintainability.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and its integration with React.js.
• Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Chai.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with UI/UX principles and the ability to implement design systems.
