Azure DevOps Engineer

• CI/CD Pipeline Management:

1. Design, build, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous integration, testing, and deployment of applications.
2. Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Terraform.
3. Implement effective monitoring and alerting mechanisms to identify and address potential issues within pipelines.

• Azure Infrastructure Management:

1. Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, virtual networks, storage accounts, and other Azure services to optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency.
2. Implement security best practices within Azure environments, including role-based access control (RBAC), network security groups, and encryption.

• Collaboration with Development Teams:

1. Work closely with developers to integrate DevOps practices into their workflows, promoting code quality and rapid feedback loops.
2. Provide technical guidance on Azure services and best practices to facilitate efficient development and deployment processes.

• Performance Optimization and Monitoring:

1. Monitor application performance and health metrics using Azure Monitor, identifying bottlenecks and taking corrective actions.
2. Analyze application logs and system events to troubleshoot issues and proactively address potential problems.

• Troubleshooting and Support:

1. Investigate and resolve production issues related to application deployments and infrastructure concerns.
2. Provide technical support to development teams during deployment and troubleshooting phases.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong proficiency in Azure DevOps services including Pipelines, Repos, Boards, and Artifacts.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates or Terraform.
• Experience with Azure compute services (Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure Functions) and storage solutions (Blob Storage, Azure Database).
• Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash for automation tasks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and methodologies.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Desired Skills:

• Azure certifications (Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert)
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Application Insights, Log Analytics)
• Familiarity with Git version control systems.
