Job Description
1.Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related fields
2.Ability to create highly complex 3D sheet metal/casting models, assembly and 2D detailed drawings of Special Purpose Machines using SolidWorks.
3.Strong understanding of concept design in special purpose machines domain.
4.Conceptualizing and designing special purpose machines based on specific manufacturing requirements.
5.Candidate should have knowledge of various Shop Floor manufacturing practices.
6.Candidate should know raw material standard sizes, different materials, GD&T etc
7.Applying Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure the accuracy and precision of machine components.
8.Selecting and integrating bought-out components, such as motors, cylinders, and actuators, into machine designs.
9.Selecting appropriate functions and engineering materials based on design specifications and application requirements.
10.Candidate should be capable to communicate and coordinate with global engineers.
Work Experience
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or any related field
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design or drawing review
- Strong drawing reading skills
- Excellent grasp of Geometric Dimension and Tolerance
- Ability to guide engineers regarding changes with respect to technical correctness of the model
