Civil & Structural Designer (Draughtsman)

A Structural Designers job is Drafting Structural Drawings.

• Designing structures: Using computer-aided design (CAD) technology to create 2D and 3D models of buildings, Steel/RCC structures, Foundations, Pipe Rack, and other structures
• Collaborating with others: Working with architects on design models, contractors, and construction workers on-site
• Evaluating construction: Scrutinizing every phase of construction, from laying foundations to installing structural components
• Reviewing Submittals. Structural engineering is a specialized area of civil engineering.

• Understanding of construction codes: Being able to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans
• Computer-aided design (CAD): Using CAD principles to create technical drawings
• Material knowledge: Having a basic understanding of materials and construction methods Mathematical skills
• Calculating dimensions: Being able to calculate dimensions and tolerances
• Calculating material costs: Being able to calculate material amounts and costs Creative skills
