Technical Architect (.Net, WPF)

Position Overview:

We are seeking TechnicalArchitect to design and oversee a . NET migration project , transitioning applications from . NET Framework 4. 8 to . NET Core 8. 0. This role involves creating migration strategy, defining the architecture roadmap, and guiding the development team to modernize legacy systems. The candidate will have a deep expertise in . NET Core, WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) and WCF( Windows Communication Foundation), with strong leadership and problem-solving ability to ensure a smooth and efficient migration process.

Key Responsibilities :

• Define the overallarchitecture and migration strategy for transitioning applications from . NET Framework 4. 8 to . NET Core 8. 0 , ensuring scalability, security, and performance
• Evaluating existing applications and services (WPF and WCF) to identify technical challenges, compatibility issues, and architectural gaps.
• Redesign WPF applications for . NET Core compatibility, implementing enhancements to align with modern standards.
• Provide solutions for migrating WCF services, including evaluating alternatives like gRPC , RESTAPIs , or . NET Core supported frameworks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirement and align the technical strategy with business objectives.
• Define design pattern, based practices, and coding standards to guide the development team through the migration process.
• Oversee the data migration process, ensuring data consistency, integrity, and minimal downtime.
• Conduct architectural reviews and ensure adherence to defined principles and quality benchmarks.
• Lead technology evolutions and propose tools, frameworks, and platform to enhance productivity and project delivery.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to developers, engineers, and junior architects, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Prepare and maintain architectural documentation, including high-level designs, technical road map and migration guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development with . NET Technologies , with 4+ years in architectural role.
• In-depth expertise in . NET Framework 4. 8 and . NET Core 8. 0, with practical migration experience.
• Strong knowledge of WPF , including modernization legacy desktop applications for performance and usability.
• Experience with WCFservices, including strategies to modernize or replace them (e. g. , gRPC or Restful APIs).
• Solid understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices (e. g. , SOLID).
• Proficiency in C#, Entity Framework Core, and LINQ .
• Should have good exposure to MVVM and PRISM framework
