Job Description
- Preparation of ordering specifications for fuel gas, fuel oil, lube oil, control oil, Instrument air system, drain system, blow-off systems and cooling air systems.
- Understanding customer project requirements.
- Evaluation of vendor quotation and technical clarifications.
- Support purchasing team in vendor evaluation.
- Reviewing vendor design and documentation ex. General arrangement, wiring documents etc.
- Ensure the detailed design by vendor meets project requirements and standards.
- Adhere to project schedule and process
- Day-to-day liaison with design engineers and engineers from other departments like Projects, mechanical, piping, electrical, controls etc.
- Maintain documentation in COMOS, SAP PDM, Team center, Fabasoft and related database.
- Provide Site support if required.
- Contribute and review project specific documents like P&ID, Instrument databases etc.
Competencies Required
- 5 to 10 years of engineering work experience (Mechanical Engineering)
- Excellent team player
- Commitment to Customer First initiatives including excellent communication skills.
- Expertise in related areas of work, project engineering.
- Expert in gas turbine auxiliary systems.
- Co-ordinating any technical or configuration issues with the in-house Technology group.
- Highlighting any risks or issues applicable to ongoing activities.
- Liaise with Project/design Engineers to ensure full scope of work is covered.
- Continuous Adherence to and reviewing of engineering processes and procedures and recommend changes as required.
- Abide by all business compliance requirements in line with Company policies, for example Business Conduct Guidelines & Confidential information.
