Position Overview
Position Title : Program Manager Oil & Gas Projects
Location : Bangalore, India
Scope:
We are seeking a Program Manager to lead the engineering team within the Center for Oil & Gas projects.
The Program Manager will be responsible for building, developing, and managing a team of engineering specialists focused on the development and application of engineering processes, specification and best practices covering all aspects of the development, design, construction, and operation of Oil & Gas- Production/Refinery, Hydrogen, CCU, Ammonia Plant.
Key Responsibilities:
o Build, develop, and manage a team of experts across a range of disciplines to develop specialist engineering capability, processes and best practices, support central portfolio engineering activities and drive value through engineering optimization and innovation.
o Develop expertise across a range of engineering disciplines including Project Controls, Project Management (Construction/Site Coordination), Procurement, Information management and Quality.
o Manage internal and external stakeholders.
o Responsible for timely delivery and quality of deliverable for the team.
o Manage multiple projects, create proposals, and support account growth by supporting the sales team.
o Program Financial performance.
o Builds strong customer relationships - attend important QBRs and customer meetings. Gets firsthand voice of customer.
o Implements a Delivery contact planfor his/her staff to build working level customer relationships, understand needs, and propose solutions.
o Reports to Center Manager.
Skills and Qualifications
- A strong belief in safety and environmental responsibility with the ability to develop a strong safety culture in teams and embed safety in engineering activity.
- A strong team manager with a minimum of 15 yearsexperience in managing Plant Design projects from an engineering perspective.
- Direct experience of building and operating engineering teams as part of a Technical Centre of Excellence.
- Ability to lead and develop strong relationships with key external project stakeholders e.g., consultants, equipment manufacturers, EPC contractors etc.
- An understanding of the key value drivers of projects that relate to engineering and the ability to drive competitiveness without a detrimental impact on safety or quality.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven program management and financial management experience as Program Manager or similar role
- Ability to influence cross-functional team without formal authority
- Excellent time management, resource organization and priority establishment skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with diplomacy and tact, including when responding to resistance
- Ability to work with an optimistic attitude both independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated with strong, proven, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understands the importance of data flow, data integrity, and business process efficiency, as well as the potential role technology could play to improve or enhance them
Education
- Bachelor/masterdegree in an engineering, an additional professional engineering qualification / certification preferred.
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills, additional languages a benefit.
