Java Desktop Developer _5-10 Years

Job Requirements

Java experienced candidate will design, develop, and maintain robust and user-friendly desktop applications using Java-based technologies. This role requires a deep understanding of Java GUI frameworks like Swing, JavaFX, or SWT, and the ability to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain desktop applications using Java and associated GUI frameworks (Swing, JavaFX, SWT, etc.). 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend developers, to design intuitive and responsive desktop interfaces.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and technical issues.
• Perform software testing (unit, integration, and functional) to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Optimize application performance and scalability for seamless user experiences.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical evaluations.
• Integrate desktop applications with backend services or databases as required.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Java desktop development tools and techniques.
• Mentor team

Work Experience

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Java Core concepts.
• Experience with build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Proficiency in database technologies (e.g., MySQL, SQLite).
• Knowledge of third-party libraries and tools for desktop applications.

Essential Skills:

• 5- 8+ years of experience in Java desktop application development.
• Proficiency in GUI frameworks such as Swing, JavaFX, or SWT.
• Experience with multithreading, concurrency, and event-driven programming.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, web services, and backend integration.

Qualification:

• M.E / M. Tech , B.E / B. Tech (Electronics & Computer Science)  
• Experience in deploying and packaging Java desktop applications.
• Knowledge of design patterns and software architecture principles.
• Familiarity with cross-platform application development.
