DM/AM - Operation Excellence

Job Title: Deputy Manager/Assistant Manager Operational Excellence (OPEX)
Experience Required: 6+ years
Location: Noida

Job Purpose

As a key member of the Operations Excellence team, the role focuses on identifying waste and non-value-added (NVA) activities in production processes using Time and Motion studies and Lean Manufacturing techniques. The objective is to enhance efficiency by integrating men, machines, materials, information, and energy to deliver optimal product output while minimizing waste.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE):

• Analyze and maintain OEE data daily across all plant sections.
• Identify major losses and circulate OEE analysis to section in-charges for actionable improvements.
• Validate cycle time, production rates, and set performance targets for machines and manpower.

Time & Motion Studies:

• Conduct detailed time studies using stopwatch and MOST methodologies.
• Establish accurate time standards and assess process efficiency.
• Collect data through observation and surveys, using technology for enhanced analysis.
• Recommend and assist in implementing process improvements based on data insights.

Single-Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED):

• Lead initiatives to reduce changeover times in various sections.
• Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in changeover processes using time studies and analysis.
• Develop and standardize changeover processes through SOPs to ensure consistency.

Lean Manufacturing Implementation:

• Apply lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC, VSM, and others to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
• Conduct process mapping and drive improvements in SOPs and OPLs.

Secondary Responsibilities

Process Flow Diagram (PFD), Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA), and Control Plan:

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify potential failure modes and their root causes.
• Conduct risk assessments by evaluating severity, occurrence, and detection.

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM):

• Understand and apply basic principles of TPM to address operational losses.
• Assist in loss identification and analysis to improve equipment utilization.

Qualifications

• Education: B. Tech in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

• Experience: 6+ years in operations excellence, process engineering, or quality management within manufacturing.

Skills Required

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Working knowledge of SAP, MOST Software, and Power BI.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
