Backend Technical Lead - Node.js/Javascript (5-8 yrs)

FIRM : Well established fintech/investment tech firm based off in Mumbai

LOCATION : Thane

WORK MODE : 4 days in office and 1 day WFH

About the role : Backend Technical Lead - Node.js

Responsibilities :

1. People Management :

- Understands team dynamics and utilizes different strengths of individuals to ensure high team performance. Keeps people happy and fosters a healthy work environment in the face of challenging schedules and high expectations

2. Project Management :

- Understands project scope, allocates resources, manages timelines, identifies risks early and communicates updates regularly to upper management and stakeholders. As delivery manager, owns the entire life cycle management for deliverables assigned to his team

3. Technical Direction :

- Designs technological solutions to business problems in a way that satisfies both the business and technology objectives of the organization

- Responsible for delivering scalable and robust solutions in a timely manner

- Owns the quality and accuracy of team products

- Collaborate with product owners on product front and other technology leaders on tech front

Must have skills or competencies :

- 5-7 of work experience in development and team management

- Strong Full-stack experience with thorough understanding of Node.js, JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds.

- Should have understanding of diverse technologies and ability to decide on architecture appropriate with business needs

- Ability to go debug external npm packages and make changes in them if required.

- Experience in architecting web-apps with ability to solve typical scale related problems.

- Must be good with git and git workflow Thorough knowledge of AWS, GCC, or Azure.

- Experience and understanding of development process including Requirements, Development, QA and Deployment

- Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders.
