Automation Architect

We are seeking a skilled and experienced QA Automation Architect to lead our organization's automation testing efforts and drive the adoption of automation best practices across our software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, test automation, and quality assurance methodologies, with a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, efficient, and maintainable automation frameworks. The QA Automation Architect will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to assess testing requirements, design automation solutions, and ensure the quality and reliability of our software products

Key Responsibilities:

1. Automation Framework Design and Implementation:
   Design and implement automation testing frameworks, methodologies, and best practices to streamline and optimize our software testing processes.

2. Process Assessment and Improvement:
   Assess existing testing processes, tools, and frameworks to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvement.

3. Standards and Guidelines Enforcement:
   Define and enforce automation testing standards, guidelines, and coding conventions to ensure consistency, reliability, and maintainability across automation scripts.

4. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
   Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate automation testing into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

5. Automated Test Development:
   Develop and maintain automated test scripts, test suites, and test data sets to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.

6. Test Scenario Prioritization:
   Identify and prioritize test scenarios for automation based on risk analysis, business impact, and frequency of use.

7. Automation Infrastructure Implementation and Maintenance:
   Implement and maintain automation infrastructure, including test environments, tools, and frameworks, to support automated testing activities.

8. Test Monitoring and Optimization:
   Monitor and analyze test results and metrics to identify defects, performance bottlenecks, and areas for optimization.

9. Stakeholder Collaboration:
   Collaborate with stakeholders to define test automation strategy, goals, and success criteria, and provide regular updates on progress and achievements.

10. Technical Leadership and Mentorship:
    Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to automation testers and cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of quality, efficiency, and innovation.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
2. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automation testing frameworks and strategies for large-scale software projects.
3. Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
4. Extensive experience in integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines and working with tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar.
5. In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, quality assurance practices, and automation principles.
6. Experience with multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for writing and maintaining automation scripts.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and design innovative automation solutions.
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
9. Experience in cloud-based testing, performance testing, and security testing is a plus.
10. Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies is highly desirable.
