Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate VB .Net Developer to join our development team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in VB .Net and VB Script, with experience in building and maintaining enterprise-grade applications. The candidate must be able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deploy .NET and VB.NET Core applications with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
• Work with business analysts and product owners to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, backend, QA) to build efficient and robust applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug existing applications, identify areas for improvement, and optimize code performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following best practices and coding standards.
• Integrate third-party APIs, services, and other systems.
• Participate in code reviews, ensure high code quality, and mentor junior developers as needed.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in .NET and VB.NET Core development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using VB .Net and VB Script.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in legacy and current systems.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with QA, Product Management, and other development teams for seamless delivery.
• Maintain technical documentation for future reference.
• Optimize application performance and ensure responsiveness to front-end requests.
• Participate in application upgrades, migrations, and integration efforts as required.
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 47 years of relevant experience in VB .Net and VB Script development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Preferred Skills:

• VB .Net Development Strong hands-on experience with Visual Basic .Net.
• VB Script Proven experience writing and debugging VB Script.
• Strong knowledge of Windows-based application development.
• Solid understanding of OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) concepts.
• Experience with SQL Server or similar RDBMS Writing complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, etc..
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ASP .Net, C#, or other Microsoft technologies.
• Exposure to legacy systems modernization.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, TFS).
• Basic understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
