Software Test Engineer

Responsibilities:

The QA candidate will be responsible for end-to-end testing of the website homepage, ensuring optimal functionality, performance, design accuracy, and cross-browser compatibility. Responsibilities include:

1. Functional Testing:
• Validate homepage elements (header, footer, navigation menu, sliders, banners, and buttons).
• Test all links (internal and external) for correctness and ensure no broken links.
• Verify search bar functionality (if applicable).
• Test dynamic
• content and widgets (e.g., news tickers, promotional banners).
• Ensure form fields (e.g., login/signup, newsletter) function as expected.
2. UI/UX Testing:
• Ensure visual alignment with design mockups (fonts, colors, images, layouts).
• Check responsiveness on various devices (mobile, tablet, desktop).
• Validate hover effects, animations, and transitions.
3. Cross-Browser Testing:
• Test compatibility across browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, etc.).

• SEO Validation:
• Verify meta tags, alt attributes, and proper use of heading tags (H1, H2, etc.).
• Ensure canonical URLs and proper indexing behavior.
• Web Knowledge:
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser developer tools.
