Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Sales Head with a minimum of 15 years of experience in government, institutional, and project sales. The Sales Head will be responsible for leading, training, and developing the sales team to achieve targeted revenue and growth objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in B2G sales, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in high-stakes project sales within government and institutional markets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development:
    • Oversee, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
    • Develop team capabilities through strategic training, performance evaluation, and continuous feedback.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and accountability within the sales team.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy focused on government, institutional, and project sales.
    • Identify new opportunities within targeted sectors, such as defense, railways, energy, and other government bodies.
    • Drive revenue growth by building long-term client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction, and overseeing project lifecycles from acquisition to delivery.
  • Relationship Management & Business Development:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key government officials, institutional buyers, and decision-makers.
    • Negotiate large-scale contracts and manage client interactions, ensuring high standards of service.
    • Understand client needs and tailor solutions to maximize customer satisfaction and project efficiency.
  • Market Analysis & Intelligence:
    • Conduct thorough market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity.
    • Use insights to refine sales approaches, identify emerging opportunities, and position Pyrotech Workspace Solutions as a preferred partner in workspace solutions for complex environments.
    • Develop market intelligence reports to keep stakeholders informed and strategize on upcoming projects and bidding opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline sales processes, ensure timely project delivery, and address any issues.
    • Develop and track KPIs to assess team performance, sales growth, and customer satisfaction.
    • Prepare accurate and timely reports for senior management to provide insights into sales performance and pipeline status.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of relevant sales experience, specifically in government, institutional, or project sales.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and motivating sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of government procurement processes, tendering, and contract negotiations.
  • Strong networking skills and a well-established network within government and institutional sectors.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong understanding of project sales, from planning to execution.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
