Software Development Engineer - Test - Automation Testing (8-13 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled SDET to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and testing, with a proven ability to design, develop, and execute automated test strategies for complex systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products.

Responsibilities :

Test Automation Strategy & Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test frameworks and suites.

- Lead the development of comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements and design specifications.

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.

- Select and integrate appropriate testing tools and technologies.

Performance & Load Testing :

- Develop and execute performance and load tests to identify bottlenecks and ensure system scalability.

- Analyze performance test results and provide recommendations for optimization.

- Implement monitoring solutions to track system performance in production.

API & Microservices Testing :

- Develop and execute automated tests for RESTful and SOAP APIs.

- Test microservices architecture and ensure seamless integration between components.

- Utilize tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar for API testing.

Test Planning & Execution :

- Participate in requirements review and design discussions to provide input on testability.

- Develop and execute test plans for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

- Manage test data and test environments.

Defect Management & Reporting :

- Identify, track, and report software defects using defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).

- Analyze and troubleshoot complex issues to determine root causes.

- Provide clear and concise test reports and metrics to stakeholders.

Collaboration & Mentorship :

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.

- Mentor and guide junior SDETs and provide technical leadership.

- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on test code.

Technical Skills :

- Expert proficiency in Java, Python, or C#.

- Strong scripting skills (e.g., shell scripting).

- Test Automation Tools & Frameworks : Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Cypress, Playwright.

- JUnit, TestNG, PyTest, NUnit, Cucumber, SpecFlow.

- API Testing Tools : Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI.

- Performance Testing Tools, JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- 8-13 years of experience in software development and testing.

- Proven experience in designing and implementing automated test frameworks.

- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Experience in leading and mentoring junior team members.
