Software Development Engineer - Test - Automation Testing (6-8 yrs)

Role Description :

This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for a highly skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) Engineer to join our team in Gurugram. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design, development, and execution of robust automated testing solutions. You will work closely with development teams to integrate testing into the software development lifecycle, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality software.

Responsibilities :

Automation Framework Design and Implementation :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks using Selenium and Java.

- Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools and technologies to enhance testing efficiency.

- Continuously improve and optimize existing automation frameworks.

Test Planning and Script Development :

- Create comprehensive automation test plans based on business requirements and technical specifications.

- Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

- Ensure thorough test coverage for microservices and back-end APIs.

Microservices and API Testing :

- Develop and execute automated tests for microservices architecture using Rest Assured.

- Validate API functionality, performance, and security.

COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) Testing :

- Test and validate COTS and ST/ST+1 software integrations.

- Ensure COTS software meets all business and technical requirements.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide test status updates and resolve issues.

- Document test plans, test cases, and test results.

Qualifications :

Experience :

- 6+ years of experience in software testing and automation.

- Proven experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks using Selenium and Java.

- Strong experience in testing microservices and APIs using Rest Assured.

- Experience with COTS testing.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in Java programming.

- Expertise in Selenium WebDriver and related tools.

- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

- Experience with Rest Assured for API testing.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Knowledge of SQL and database testing.

- Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG).
