• M.sc Organic Chemistry
• M.sc Analytical Chemistry

Role & responsibilities

• Should be familiar with Testing and preserving of the Samples as per the laid down SOPs/STPs.
• To ensure stringent followup of the ISO/IEC 17025 system in the Lab.
• Optimum utilization of Equipment, Conduct preventive maintenance of equipment, timely calibration and handle breakdown maintenance of equipment as soon as possible.
• Should be capable of understanding the related documents and follow them.
• Maintain equipment in proper working order and maintain a clean work area.
• To ensure that the proper records are maintained at all stages of testing and ensuring the validity of results.
• To monitor and maintain the environmental conditions regularly and record the same during the testing activities carriedout.
• To report to the Technical Head/Lab In-charge on daytoday functioning / activities or any abnormality observed.
• To use available resources on an optimum basis to achieve maximum output and reduce wastage during the testing.
• Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced and that everything is clearly and correctly labelled.
• Organize and store all chemical substances, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions.
• Should be able to carry out experiments or tests as and when required to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations.
• Record, and sometimes interpret, results to present to senior colleagues.
• To conduct a literature review and can prepare summary of the same.
• Use computers and perform mathematical calculations for the preparation of graphs.
• To follow the instructions as and when communicated.
• Practice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Hands-on experience of GC, HPLC, Spectrophotometer is desirable.
• Should have knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025.
• Should have basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to conduct searches on identified topics relevant to the research
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to write correspondence and reports.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Preference will be given to Local Female/Male candidates.
