Purchase Manager

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate should have with B.E- Mechanical with 25+ years of experience in procurement/SCM and expert knowledge in procurement.

Commodity purchasing Investment Casting, Sheet metal, Fabrication, Machined components, Plastic and Rubber.

He must have handled team members minimum of 10-15 staff.

Good Techno-commercial knowledge with VAVE implementation.

SAP knowledge will be added an advantage.

Role & responsibilities

a) Develops a purchase strategy

b) Reviews and processes purchase orders

c) Manages other members of the purchasing team

d) Negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers

e) Builds and maintains relationships with vendors

f) Selects prospective vendors and negotiates contracts

g) Evaluates vendors based on quality,timelines, and price

h) Schedules deliveries and ensures timely fulfillment of orders

i) Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services

j) Coordinates with all stakeholders to monitor inventory and determine supply needs

k) Travels to vendor locations

l) Stays current with purchasing technology trends and oversees purchase and implementation, as necessary.

m) Techno-Commercial knowledge on development of Casting/Forging /Machined components etc.,
