Roles & Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the AGM Maintenance - ATL will be overseeing the maintenance of critical machinery, managing a skilled team, strategizing preventive, and predictive maintenance plans, optimizing equipment uptime, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production. The individual will drive maintenance excellence, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Roles and Responsibilities include:

1. Formulate and implement a proactive maintenance plan tailored for the precision casting equipment used in aerospace casting operations, ensuring maximum uptime and equipment longevity.
2. Lead the maintenance teams across mechanical, electrical, and specialized equipment domains.
3. Ensure ongoing training to keep the team updated with the latest casting technologies and maintenance techniques.
4. Develop and manage maintenance schedules to ensure minimal disruption to production activities. Coordinate with production teams to align maintenance activities with production demands.
5. Oversee the entire lifecycle of casting machinery, from procurement, installation, routine maintenance, to eventual decommissioning or upgrade, ensuring optimal performance throughout.
6. Implement and manage predictive maintenance systems, utilizing advanced diagnostics to prevent unplanned downtimes in our casting operations.
7. Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for routine tasks, technological upgrades, and unforeseen repairs in the casting operations.
8. Introduce and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the maintenance department, driving initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability in the casting processes.
9. Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
10. Report on key KPIs to senior management and recommend strategic improvements for the casting operations.
11. Develop and regularly review emergency response protocols for equipment malfunctions or failures, ensuring minimum disruption to the casting production schedules.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education and Certifications:

• B. Tech / B.E in mechanical engineering, electrical, automobile engineering, or related field.

Experience:

• 13-19 years of proven work experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of production processes preferably in the aerospace casting industry.
• Experience in performing root cause analysis where downtime was minimized, and processes were optimized.

Technical / Functional Expertise & other competencies:

• In depth understanding of the aerospace castings business, the manufacturing processes and related procedures and policies.
• Comprehensive understanding of static and rotary equipment (mechanical and electrical) relevant to aerospace castings manufacturing.
• Should have good project management skills and basic financial knowledge to manage maintenance budgets and prioritize spending effectively, sourcing spare parts efficiently, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and commitment to organizational growth.
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
