Job Description

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) Glass will oversee all operational aspects of solar glass production, focusing on manufacturing excellence, process optimization, and adherence to international quality and sustainability standards. This role involves managing the production of high-performance solar glass, including advanced coatings and ultra-thin glass, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving efficiency across the value chain. The COO will play a pivotal role in advancing the companys leadership in the solar glass industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the operations of solar glass manufacturing facilities, ensuring timely production and delivery of high-quality products.
Drive operational strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain world-class production standards.
Oversee the implementation of advanced glass technologies, such as anti-reflective coatings and bifacial glass.

Process Optimization and Quality Control

Optimize glass production processes, including melting, forming, tempering, and coating, to achieve operational excellence.
Ensure consistent adherence to global quality certifications, such as IEC standards, with a focus on defect-free production.
Implement data-driven process improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and durability.

Resource and Cost Management

Manage resources, including manpower, raw materials (e.g., silica, soda ash), and equipment, to maximize productivity.
Develop and monitor operational budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources while achieving cost-saving targets.
Utilize advanced technologies to monitor and control energy consumption, minimizing operational costs.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and safety.
Collaborate with R&D, supply chain, and product management teams to align manufacturing capabilities with market needs.
Promote cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration across the solar glass value chain.

Sustainability and Compliance

Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards in all manufacturing operations.
Drive sustainability initiatives, including energy-efficient production methods and waste reduction programs.
Incorporate eco-friendly practices to align operations with the company s environmental goals and global best practices.

15+ years of experience in operational leadership within the solar glass or specialty glass manufacturing industry.
Proven track record of managing large-scale operations and implementing advanced glass production technologies.
Education: Bachelors or Master s degree in Glass Technology, Materials Science, or Engineering. MBA or equivalent business management qualification is strongly preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Operational Efficiency: Improve production yield and reduce cycle times while maintaining quality.
Product Quality: Achieve and sustain defect-free glass manufacturing aligned with international standards.
Cost Optimization: Reduce operational costs per unit through efficient resource utilization and process enhancements.
Sustainability Goals: Meet energy efficiency and waste reduction targets, contributing to a lower environmental footprint.
Team Excellence: Build a results-driven team with measurable improvements in productivity and innovation.
