Firmware Test Engineer

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

Degree in Computer / Electronics / Communication / Electrical Engineering

(Desired) masters degree in computer / Communications Engineering

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Minimum 6 to 8 years QA experience required as below:

• Competencies:
  • Advanced Software Testing Skills with good domain knowledge in industrial products.
  • Test strategy, test estimation and planning
  • Learn and apply project high-level and detailed business requirements
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts for requirements
  • Experience of testing complex embedded systems is a must
  • Experience with TDD BDD is a desirable
  • Hands on development knowledge of C#, Python or any programming language
  • Hands on experience in developing automation scripts for embedded applications on Linux, RTOS
  • Create and maintain a reusable and configurable set of automated tests
  • Experience in using CLI interface, shell scripts
  • Have a working knowledge of hardware interface, debugging on hardware use of test equipments like multimeter, oscilloscope, function generators
  • Review and maintain all project documentation and document test results
  • Maintain understanding of current and new testing technologies
  • Communicate effectively with constituents at all levels
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies preferable.
  • Strong experience with automation tools such Jenkins, Maven,
  • Working knowledge of Git and TFS, Working knowledge of defect management tools
  • Need to demonstrate - Quality, Initiative, Quantity, Dependability and Teamwork
  • Experience in Home Automation Fire domain is plus
  • Knowledge in Python or other high-level language with middle ware experience
  • Working experience of CICD pipeline development using known devops tools like Azure Devops, Atlasian tool set
