Electrician

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance tasks such as fault finding, repairs, and installations of electrical systems.
  
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operation of facilities and equipment.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical faults using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including documentation of testing results and maintenance schedules.

• Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes.

• Perform electrical testing and maintenance of systems to prevent failures.

• Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.

• Safely operate electrical tools and equipment.

• Collaborate with other tradespeople (e.g., plumbers, HVAC technicians) on site.

• Upgrade and retrofit electrical systems as per project requirements.

• Supervise and guide junior electricians and apprentices.

• Plan and delegate daily tasks to the electrical team.

• Conduct safety briefings and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.

• Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion of projects

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 2-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance or related field (ITI Electrical).
  
• Strong understanding of electrical works, panel wiring, house wiring, and electrical safety principles.
  
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics for installation purposes.
  
• Proficiency in performing routine checks on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns.
