General Duty Assignment (GDA) Electrician

Location: Palam Vihar Gurugram

Reporting To: Facility Manager / Maintenance Head

Job Summary:

The Electrician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in a high-rise residential building. The role includes troubleshooting electrical issues, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and performing routine inspections to maintain efficient electrical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Installation & Maintenance:

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.
• Ensure the proper functioning of lighting, power distribution, and emergency backup systems.
• Repair faulty wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and other electrical components.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of generators, transformers, and distribution panels.

Emergency Repairs & Response:

• Respond quickly to electrical faults and power outages.
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure immediate action in case of fire hazards or short circuits.

Routine Inspections & Preventive Maintenance:

• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to avoid major failures.
• Ensure proper grounding and insulation of electrical wiring.

Compliance & Documentation:

• Adhere to electrical safety regulations and building codes.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Provide recommendations for electrical upgrades and improvements.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Certified Electrician with relevant trade certification.
• Minimum of 03 years of experience in electrical maintenance and repairs.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety protocols.
• Ability to use electrical tools and testing equipment efficiently.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies.
• Basic understanding of energy efficiency and conservation.

Work Conditions:

• Shift-based duty, including weekends and holidays if required.
• Physically demanding role involving working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Exposure to electrical hazards and high-voltage systems.
